my husband and I went to Vegas for a long weekend. It was my first trip to Sin City. The Wynn is a beautiful property. Not an over the top replica of a European city, but an elegant, classy place.
The main reason I don’t give this place 5 stars is because of the check in process. It took us 45 minutes to check in. Not a good first impression. After we checked in though we had nothing but an excellent time with attentive service.
We selected a room on the 21st floor. The room was quiet with modern decor and a large bathroom with separate shower and tub.
The casino is smaller than a lot of the casinos on the strip. All the casino tables, gaming areas etc. were new, in good condition and clean.
The pool area was also really nice. Plenty of chairs and attentive service.
We ate at the buffet one night which was really good. Food stations included cuisine from around the world including street taco station, dim sum, pasta etc. The pastry shop within the buffet was a highlight!
We ate breakfast twice at the terrace pointe cafe which was amazing. Vegetarians and vegans are well taken care of with a special menu. The breakfast choices range from cinnamon rolls, homemade granola, and the don’t miss eggs Benedict trio.
The Wynn goes out of their way– with the exception of the check in process to make sure guests have a classy experience in Vegas.
It’s worth noting that on our taxi ride back to the airport the cab driver noted that the cabbies in Vegas all agree that the Wynn has the best guests. We would agree and didn’t have any issues with rudeness etc.
