There are still a few bugs to work out in this hotel. They’re trying their best! We stayed 5 nights while here for the NHRA Drag Races. Our room is quite nice. Even though renovated there are still some parts that need some work. The tub drain didn’t work and they came to fix it almost immediately. Unfortunately the hot water boiler wasn’t working either so no hot water on our first morning. They did get it fixed within the time they said and it was fine for the rest of the visit.
Friday I forgot to take the Do Not Disturb notice off the door – so they didn’t! They also didn’t clean the next day but it turned out ok – we only needed fresh towels which we got almost immediately.
You can tell it used to be a Hilton – it just hasn’t been kept up in the past few years.
We used the Valet Parking every day – that was included and worked very well as we have a scooter that we need to take to the room each night to charge. Sid’s Cafe was an ok place to eat. We thought the buffet was excellent – ample number of items to be satisfied.
As is normal in Vegas the outdoor pools close down for the winter. Ours had an early closing time so we didn’t get to use it by the time we got back from the track. The spa, sadly, is still undergoing renovations. We had been looking forward to that!
I think we would stay again. Even with the $10 charge for the renovated room and the $28 per day resort fee, it still wasn’t badly priced. It was convenient to hop on I-15 to go to the track.
