6 of us stayed at the Trop from Nov. 26 to Nov. 29th. We arrived about 9:00 pm. I had previously sent an email to the hotel requesting that we have 3 rooms with 2 beds as we were a group of 3 Mom’s and daughters. I received an email back saying we were booked in for 3 double queen rooms in the Paradise Tower. When checking in with Chelsey (?), she asked us to wait a minute and disappeared for about 15 minutes. When she came back she said that 1 room was ready, one room was just finishing being cleaned and one room had not yet been cleaned. We had all our luggage sent to the one clean room while we waited for the other 2 rooms. When we got to the “clean” room there were a bunch of empty water bottles laying around, the toilet hadn’t been flushed and used soap remained at the sink. I called housekeeping and they had someone come right away. One group went to check on the room that had almost been finished being cleaned. It had been so they took their luggage to their own room. The third room was ready about 20 minutes later and when that group went to the desk to check in they received a $50 credit to their bill.
Rooms are good, beds and pillows very comfortable. We were on the 17th floor overlooking the Excalibur. I really appreciated the free water bottles in the room. Rooms were always cleaned by the time we returned from our adventures, however our bathtub tap leaked badly and even though I called housekeeping twice it was never fixed while were there. I like the smaller hotel as we didn’t have to walk 100 miles to our room. I think even the Club Tower would not have been as far as you would have to go in some of the larger hotels.
With a four-acre outdoor pool area, newly renovated rooms and free parking, there’s plenty of fun in the sun to be had at the South Beach-themed Tropicana Las Vegas.
