My husband and I were stationed in Las Vegas (Nellis AFB) for 9 years so we are familiar with the area. We retired in Texas and went back for a 10 year church anniversary. We picked Southpoint becasue it was spring break in Las Vegas and we didn’t want to deal with drunk idiots on the strip.
Check-in and check-out was smooth. The price was a bit cheaper then on the strip. There were several nice resturants in the casino with lots of choices. We ate at the Italien, Asian and Steak and Shake. They were all good. The rooms were decent and cleaned well each day. They had some shows which we did not attend. Also, a very nice movie theater with lots of current choices.
The Spa – we had a 1.5 hour hot stone massage. The spa front the front to the back is outstanding. We travel yearly to Mexico, Punta Cana, cruise etc. This spa was on par and perhaps better then some others we’ve used.
The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. We would return to this hotel.
