This was our first time to stay at Silverton, and certainly won’t be our last! The Silverton Hotel/Casino was a family-oriented hotel for sure. Outdoor pool and spa (spa heated even in winter – we enjoyed it every night!!!) and a casino. HUGE floor-to-ceiling aquarium is a great attraction. The hotel is connected to the largest Bass Pro Shop I have ever seen. I think we spent a few hours just taking photos of all the taxidermy inside!! The hotel is very quiet. We requested a room far from the elevators since the elevators are usually noisy, but not at this hotel. The elevator lobby is very secluded and quiet. We had a great view of the mountains, and noted that new “high rise” Silverton Hotel is being built…but we prefer the smaller quaint feel of the 4-story currently there. The staff was over-the-top accommodating; I left my phone charger in my room after check-out and the manager was kind enough to retrieve it for me…the housekeeping staff had already found it and turned it in. The grounds are very well cared-for and although there is some construction, this doesn’t deter from the surroundings. It is WELL WORTH the 5 minute drive from the strip. We rented a car so it was easy to gain access to all the main strip locations. FREE VALET parking at the casino entrance. The room was very comfortable, with overstuffed beds and down comforters and pillows. A very nice sized bathroom; table and chairs; window unit for a/c or heat; hair dryer; iron & ironing board; in-room safe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND – will stay again. EXCELLENT restaurant downstairs in the lobby area with the some of the best food I’ve had in Vegas, also reasonably priced. Room service was very fast, good prices and delicious. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold.
