I often avoid The Strip. Gambling and prices are better off The Strip. The Orleans is one of the best choices. Location is good (Gold Coast might be better). Parking is excellent with easy ingress and egress. Food options are okay (the buffet is no longer what it was and the Cafe can be hit or miss. But the oyster bar is top-notch). They’ve updated the older rooms so the place is maintained. And I enjoy not facing the one-hour lines to check-in that I keep finding on The Strip.
One warning: the hotel often caters to visiting groups whether they’re sports teams or dance contests, so at times the hotel has been filled with groups coming and going. I’ve never seen the groups cause any problems.
Each of the hotel’s 1886 guestrooms offer suite accommodations with separate seating areas and tons of Victorian-themed decor.
Make time for several meals, specifically at one of the hotel’s 12 notable restaurants.
Located just one mile west of the Strip, the hotel enjoys great views and easy access to the main thoroughfare
