This is my first reviews ever but I felt it was warranted. I got back yesterday from a four night stay at MC. I have stayed there before several years ago so I already knew about the great location and that the facility was smaller than others on the strip. Yes, the rooms are a little worn and dated but everything was clean, comfortable and in great working order. I gave it 5 stars because of the fantastic customer service I received. EVERYONE I encountered from the front desk to housekeeping, to restaurant servers, to maintenance personnel were friendly and went out of their way to help me. I had a couple of situations that put this to the test. I asked for a room change due to early morning noise from construction (not MC”s fault). I called and was told no problem, they would send me a text when the new room was clean and ready. I expected it to be late in the afternoon but I got the next before noon! I called and got the new room information and was told my room key should work in my new room. However, when I got there, it did not so I had to go to the front desk. They are testing a new secure room key and it did not allow the room transfer so they had to give me a new key. No problem. I asked the front desk about the 2 free drink coupons you’re suppose to get at check-in (part of your resort fee). I was not offered this at check-in and was told they were out of coupons so I was given a $25 room credit….Even better!. My new room was great. Overlooking the pool and no noise at night at all.

My room 8-122 had everything I needed. In room coffee, bottled water, in room safe, and great water pressure in the shower. Comfortable bed and great fluffy pillows. Oh, and the wifi did work fine in my room. It actually worked better in my room than it did in the lobby so that was never an issue for me.. I have read the complaints about that. I was on the 8th floor so not sure how high you can go before performance degrades.

I also tried several different restaurants on site and everything was great. There are lots of options at the food court (Subway, Starbucks, Sabbarro, Manchu Wok, McDonald’s, and Nathan’s hot dogs). All of these offer very affordable breakfast options if you want something quick. I also tried The Pub (great grilled salmon), The Noodle Dragon ( delicious lunch special for $9.95) and DiAblo for quesadillas so large I could only eat half and I was stuffed. Tip: You can charge your meals to your room from any MGM resort and earn tier points!

I went to the pool each morning to enjoy the hot tub and early morning sun. Always super clean and tons of chairs both in sun and in shade depending on what you want. You can also order breakfast and snacks from the pool.

I did notice that the average age of the guests appeared to be older. I don’t know if that is typical or if it was just the timing of my visit, during the week and with schools in session. But, that was fine with me, since I’m a 51 year old female that was travelling alone. I always felt safe. The resort size was great. If I forgot something, it was no big deal to go back to the room. I played poker in the MC poker room and the 2nd time I went there, the host remembered by name! Wow, that’s impressive. I also played poker at Bellagio and the free tram was very convenient.

I can honestly say this is one if the best hotel experiences I have ever had and I have travelled a lot over the years and been to Vegas many times. This will now be my go-to hotel when I’m in Vegas.
