Really enjoyed a week in this unique hotel. Whilst the towers are newer, we were happier staying in the pyramid for its amazing architecture. Plenty of bar & restaurant choices especially when you realise the casino is connected to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay not only by monorail but also by walkways which are in fact the quicker option.
Casino smells beautiful and is very clean. Sure there are some faded fabrics & furnishings but nothing to detract from your stay and reflected in the competitive rates.
This place suited my preference for a comfortable relaxed stay. There are more luxurious places but a bit ‘uppity’ for my liking. I’d return to Luxor for the right rate though also very tempted by the atmosphere of New York New York and the style of the Mirage.
Whilst as the south end of the Strip, it’s a good location with many attractions nearby and the bus stop for the Deuce strip service just outside.
Resort fees are added to your bill but this applies to all strip resorts so just be aware the price you pay when you book is not the final price.
Egyptian-themed Luxor Hotel and Casino and enjoy the spacious rooms and the massive swimming pool. The 30-story Luxor is fashioned after an enormous pyramid with more than 4,400 rooms boasting sitting areas and oversized showers. A massive replica of the Great Sphinx of Giza stands guard at the hotel’s entrance, while the sprawling swimming pool area is decked out in ancient Egyptian decor.
