Imperial Palace was my go-to hotel during my poor post-college years because it was dirt cheap. Twenty years later, I’ve graduated to the much nicer hotels and vowed never to return to IP. Some budget conscious friends decided to stay here this past week and so I booked a room as well, despite much protest. I was pleasantly surprised with the renovations. Gone were the thick smoke, drunkards on the ground, tacky decorations, and overall seedy vibe of Imperial Palace. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the budget minded traveler who wants a nice, clean room centrally located on the strip.
located in the center of the strip
fairly cheap rooms
tastefully decorated and clean rooms
super friendly staff (each staff person I encountered greeted me)
parking lot is close to rooms
fridge available (no overly priced mini bar that creates accidental charges)
doesn’t have newer slot machines
machines were tight
rooms are TINY
