Having stayed at around 10 different Vegas hotels, I went in to this trip expecting about the same. Boy was I wrong! Encore and Wynn are truly the nicest properties I’ve ever visited. My girlfriend and I chose Encore due to the proximity to XS as well as the killer rate we received for the weekend. Encore is much quieter overall than most of the mega-resorts, including Wynn, and it is very refreshing to have space in the casino getting back to your room after a long night of clubbing, gambling or dinner…be sure to check out SW Steakhouse next door. It was my girlfriend’s b-day, and we had 9:30 reservations. The restaurant closes at 10, but we didn’t once feel rushed during our 3 hour event. I even called down to the reservations desk and they bumped us up to the best table in the house, right on the lake, where we got to enjoy the fun shows every half hour!
If there is one down fall to the Encore it is the location on the strip. It really is the most northern point you’ll want to visit, and really, walking anywhere further than the Venetian is too far to walk. But with short cab lines and only a $10 ride to literally get to the very south of the strip, doesn’t deter at all from the great experience, amazing rooms and amenities, and unparalleled service you will get from the Encore (and Wynn for that matter).
